Mr Advani, who had discussions with Mr Sinha regarding his agitation launched for improvement in power supply in the state, remained in the jail for more than an hour.
Talking to reporters after coming out from the jail, Mr Advani said that respectable release of Mr Sinha from the jail is acceptable as he had launched an agitation related with people of this state. “We have already promised to provide power to rural areas in every BJP-ruled state,” Mr Advani said. Mr Sinha, along with 50 other party workers, were forwarded to judicial custody on June 3 after being accused of manhandling a senior Power department official in his official chamber. Mr Sinha and other party workers had refused to file bail petition in the court ,following which they have been sent to the Hazaribagh Central jail on remand.
