Adorn Maa Narmada by planting fruits saplings

Bhopal : ‘Namami Devi Narmade’-Seva Yatra begun from village Gajnai reached village Isharpur on its 33rd day covering Dhapada, Sankla and Rewabankhedi villages today. Minister for Forest Dr. Gourishankar Shejwar and MLA Shri Vijay Pal Singh were moving along with the yatra. Kalash of Narmada Seva Yatra was handed over to the 90 years old farmer Roshan Singh Rajput of village Isharpur.

The yatra was welcomed by large number of people at village Isharpur. Minister Dr. Shejwar said that the Chief Minister Shrivraj Singh Chouhan intends to conserve environment. To fulfil this, a campaign has been started by him for Narmada River’s cleanliness from December 11, 2016. He further mentioned that success of the campaign is possible with the participation of people.

Moreover, Dr. Shejwar said that adorn Maa Narmada by planting fruits and umbrageous saplings. He informed that sewage treatment plants will be established and kunds will be constructed to immerse poojan material, plastic diyas and flowers etc. Also muktidham will be built to perform funeral rites. He urged the people to quit open defecation. A financial assistance of Rs. 12 thousand is being given by the state government to construct toilet.

Dr. Shejwar laid emphasis on organic farming, de-addiction, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao. He said that electricity is being generated by constructing dams at five places including Bargi Dam, Indira Sagar Sarovar, Omkareshwar, Sardar Sarovar and now electricity will be generated at Maheshwar.

Furthermore, Dr. Shejwar shed light on the religious and mythological importance of life line of the state River Narmada. President Janpad Smt. Manju Bai, President Mandi Shri Raja Bhaiyya Patel, Sadhvi Yoga Maya, Dr. Kiran Shejwar, Sushri Rajo Malviya, Baba Balakdas, Shri Vivek Singh, Bholeram Patel, Senior Social Activist Shri Ganeshram Meena, Public Representatives and Eminent Citizens were present on the occasion.
