A colourful and melodious Holi celebration

Continuing the spirit of festivity, a Holi greeting convention with a little pinch of poetry was held here under the aegis of Maheshwari Pragati Mandal, the other night.

The celebrations started with a lamp lighting ceremony followed by the welcoming speach by the President of Maheshwari Praganti Mandal, Mr. Prafulla Maheshwari. Giving out the message of unity, Mr. Maheshwari said that we will have to come together in order to extinguish all the malpractices that are so casually being picked up by the society today. In order to rebuild the country in strong and a better way, we need to combine forces to guide and nurture the new generations to whome we will pass the leash to the country eventually. We need to make sure that whatever we pass on to the young ones, gives out prosperous outcomes, he added.  A poetic symposium was also held on the occasion in which renowned poets including Sarvashri Babulal Ghayal, Sagar Sharma, Yadunandan Jaju and many others shared their creations, followed by a traditional Holi celebration where all the members of Maheshwari families greeted each other with gulaal.  Secretary of Maheshwari Pragati Mandal Mrs. Shakun Dhoot coordinated the whole event. Many cultural events were also organized on the occasion.

Mr. Ramanlal Bhattar, Khushalchand Jethi, Ravi Gangrani, Mr. Yadunandan Jaju, Mr. Sumeet Maheshwari, Mrs. Braj Maheshwari, Mrs. Chanda Laddha, Mrs. Kamla Bhattar, Mrs. Pooja Maheshwari and many other members of Maheshwari community marked their presence on the occasion.
