9th Montfort Cup Inter School Music Carnival

The 9th Montfort Cup Inter School Music Carnival for the students of primary section (III-V) was held in the premises of St. Montfort School, Bhopal. The theme of the carnival was “Brotherhood”.

Many prestigious schools of Bhopal participated in the event.The Judges for the occasion were eminent artists–Dr.DeeptiBhatnagar, Asst.Prof and head of the department of music in Satya Sai college for women, and director of Swaranjali Music Academy, Mr. Gerald Gabriel Arokyaswamy, Music Teacher with 15 years of experience as a teacher in Campion School, Bhopal.

The event started with the lighting of the lamp. The participating schools along with the host school were arranged in team A-J.Each school was given 10 Minutes to present a solo song and a group song. Each team consisted of 12 singers and 3 instrumentalists. All the teams performed very well.

The winners of the various categories were as follows: 1. Solo Song Winner-St. Joseph Co-ed School, Bhopal 2. Runners Up-Bal Bharti School, Nishatpura 3. Group Song Winner-St. Joseph Co-ed School, Bhopal 4. Runner Up-The Sanskaar Valley School, Bhopal 5. Best Compere-St. Joseph Co-ed School, Bhopal 6. Overall Champion-St. Joseph Co-ed School, Bhopal.

The Judges applauded the efforts of the young singers and musicians and thanked the school authorities for the platform provided. Host Principal Rev. Bro. Alex felicitated the Judges. Head Boy and Head Girl of Primary Section proposed the Vote of Thanks. The programme was ended up with the National Anthem.
