Seoul, Oct 8:
North Korea fired short-range missiles into international waters in the Yellow Sea as part of a routine military exercise, a South Korean defence ministry official said on Wednesday.

300 women die for every 100,000 live births in India 

New York, Oct 8:
An estimated 80,000 pregnant women and new mothers die each year in India from preventable causes, including haemorrhage, eclampsia, sepsis and anaemia, making it an average of 301 deaths for every 100,000 live births annually, a new UN study has said.
 
'UN not to investigate Benazir's assassination' 

United Nations, Oct 8:
The United Nations has turned down Pakistan's request to investigate the assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, but may appoint a fact-finding commission, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has said.
