Earlier, footwear were termed as the necessity, but now it is considered as fashion symbol. Generally youngsters give great preference to footwear rather than clothes. BE. Student Sheetal Singh said that 'I generally buy footwear, to suit the dresses. I prefer to wear high heeled or shoes with Jeans but long boot with skirts. Besides this I like to wear flat sandals as daily wear because we have to walk a lot in college which is not possible with heels.'

Law college student Abhay Raj said that, 'I like to wear branded footwear, Woodland and Lee Kooper are my favorite brands, which look stylish as well as attractive. As such, the local footwear is also attractive but they have very short life.
