Sikhs take to the streets  

Chandigarh/Mumbai, June 21:
Sikhs today took to the streets at different places in Punjab and Haryana to protest the gunning down of a Sikh allegedly by the bodyguard of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in Mumbai.
 
`No political interference in appointing judges' 

Kochi, June 21:
Chief Justice of India K G Balakrishnan denied any political interference in the appointment of judges and said that they are appointed through the routine procedure.

Spiralling inflation: Chidambaram meets Sonia  

New Delhi, June 21:
Finance Minister P Chidambaram on Saturday met Congress President Sonia Gandhi and is believed to have apprised her on fiscal and monetary options available with the government and RBI to cool inflation that has touched a 13-year-high of 11.05 per cent.
