Chhindwara bags two SEZs: Develop infrastructure

Around 87 Special Economic Zones (SEZs) projects have been notified in the entire country. Rs 60,000 crore would be invested in these projects. Two SEZ projects have also been sanctioned for Chhindwara district. Under this project footware designing and construction training related institutions worth crores would be established, Union Commerce and Industries Minister, Kamalnath informed on Tuesday. With the establishment of SEZ in Chhindwara not only this district would be benefited but the adjoining areas would also get its benefit. With the beginning of two projects job opportunities would increase. It is sure that this tribal populated area would become prosperous economically along with the adjoining areas. But, establishment of SEZ should not be at the cost of agricultural land. If there is necessity of farmers' land then they should be given payment of their land cost according to present rates and soon. Use of barren and not usable land should be considered seriously for the SEZ. Though Kamalnath says that he is against compulsory acquisition of land for SEZ. A lot could be done in the industrial sector in Madhya Pradesh. Hence proper stress should also be given to infrastructural development works.
