Colour of Henna shines at workshop

Bhopal, May 28: Schools of Bhopal are closed since many days due to summer vacations and children are enjoying this holiday to the hilt. But at the same time, they are increasing their creativity by learning things, which suit their interest.

In order to improve their art, students are also participating in different sorts of camps and are pursuing their hobbies. These days special classes are also being organised for the students at Jawahar Bal Bhawan. In the Home Science Department, students are being imparted training of applying Henna in various shapes and designs. Bhopal Today Team talked to students to know what have to say about this.

Sarita Singh says, 'I have learnt many things here this year also. I have been coming here since I was in class I. I like Henna very much as its colour is very beautiful. But I did not know how to apply it in a beautiful way, which I am learning here'.

Anshul Shukla is the student of class X. She says, 'I have so many of Henna designs which I have been collecting for many days. I also try the designs on my friends and relatives. I like apply Henna on my hands and I enjoy this work.

Purnima says, I like Henna. Nowadays it has become a culture. You can colour your hand with Henna any time. There is no special occasion required for this. From professional point of view it is a very good job also. We can earn much in little time.

Puja considers that colouring hands with Henna is an art and it is not every body's cup of tea. Design of Henna evolves better in a beautiful hand. I am learning it to fulfil my hobby. After learning here I try the same on the members of my family to develop my skill'.

Alka Singh said, 'I did not know how to colour my hands with Henna but when I used to see others colouring their hands then I thought I should also learn the art. That is why I joined this workshop. Now I am well versed in this skill'.

Yogyata says, 'I joined so many workshops but I enjoyed most in colouring hands with Henna. I t is not easy work but through practice it can be learnt in better way'.
