Beneficiary-oriented and community-oriented sub-plans are being implemented for BPL families belonging to scheduled castes and scheduled tribes as well as beneficiaries of land reform and Indira Awas schemes in the state under National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. A target has been fixed to benefit five lakh beneficiaries under these Sub-Plans.
Panchayats and Rural Development Minister Rustam Singh has informed that Kapildhara scheme is being implemented on the private lands of beneficiaries, Nandan Falodyan for horticulture development, Bhumishilp for land reform and community-oriented Nirmal Vatika Sub-Plan is being implemented for improvement in environment and ensuring cleanliness. Other community-oriented schemes include Shailparn, Resham, Vanya, Sahastra Dhara and Nirmal Neer.
Under Kapildhara scheme, 1.75 lakh beneficiaries have been selected. Wells are being dug on the lands belonging to one lakh 20 thousand such beneficiaries. Under the scheme, new wells are dug. Khet Talabs are being constructed for replenishing underground water table, apart from construction of masonry check dams, stop dams, RMS and minor reservoirs. Those beneficiaries are selected under the scheme whose agricultural lands are devoid of any water source.
Under Nandan Falodyan, more than 50000 beneficiaries have been selected. Under this scheme, 11,80,000 saplings have been planted in about 70,000 hectare area at a cost of Rs 8.10 crore. Beneficiaries are being provided saplings of mango, Aonla, guava, orange and lemon for planting on their agricultural lands.
Under Bhumishilp, 75,122 beneficiaries have been selected. Under the scheme, works of 83.38 lakh cubit metre earthen bundings would be undertaken. Out of this, work of 57,000 earthen bunding has been completed at a cost of Rs 76 lakh. This scheme is being implemented for the benefit of resourceless marginal farmers.
