70 new 33/11 kva stations to be constructed

Bhopal, May 27: 70 new 33'11 kva sub stations will be constructed by the East Region Electric Distribution Company in its area under the Japan Bank of International Coordination (JBIC)by August this year. These sub stations will help solve the problem of low voltage in remote areas. These sub stations will be constructed at a cost of Rs 107 crores.

The first such sub station was inaugurated by the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on April 26 last.

Out of the above, 35 will be constructed in Jabalpur, 23 in Rewa and 12 in Sagar districts.

For construction of 33 kva sub stations, so far poll erection on 246.75 kilometres have been completed. Moreover, construction of 27 control rooms have been completed and 13 more control rooms are under construction, a press release from the company informed.
