Pooja Kudesia wins silver medal

Bhopal, May 26: Pooja Kudesia won silver medal in Under-14 series Tennis Tournament 2008 doubles organised by the Asian Tennis Federation at Pune. Her partner was Amita Mukherjee of Kolkata. The tournament was held between May 19 and 23.

Earlier, Pooja had earlier defeated playing of standing at the semi finals and qualified for the finals. The credit for her winning goes to the chief coach Anand Swami of TT Nagar stadium who had prepared her at a camp of 20 days.

Pooja is a student of Carmel Convent, BHEL township. She is the only one tennis player who had won medal in Asian Tournament. Earlier, she had reached up to semifinals of Super Series organised at Mumbai.

Pooja will play at the Super Series being organised at Guwahati from June 16.
