'Chak De Bachche' now in capital

Bhopal, May 25: The number of reality shows on TV channels is going up every day. The reality shows have shown new path to the youths to shine. Now they are popular among children too. The reality show 'Chak De Bachche' currently being telecast on 9X channel is scaling new heights in popularity. Bhopal witnessed audition of children for the show. A large number of children took part in the audition test.

'Dil hai chhota sa, chhoti si asha, masti bhare man ko chhoone ki asha'. You might have heard the above film song. The song inspires everyone to move forward, particularly the children. Today's children are entirely different. They wanted to show that they are capable of doing more things. The scenario was the audition show of dancing and singing for 'Chake De Bachche' reality show being telecast at 9x channel. One should see to believe how interested the children were to participate. These children had no hesitation or shyness while participating in the audition show. They wanted to do something special and they are prepared for it. Anuj Kapoor of Sai Baba Telefilms, Mumbai, was the judge. He selected the children for the first round after hearing the songs rendered by them. After that children were selected for the second and third round. In view of great interest shown by the children of the city, Bhopal Today Team met some of the participants to know more about their zeal to strike it big and their experience at the audition.

Shivangi Upadhyaya is Class VI student. 'I am very happy that I have come to participate in the audition. I want to make a career in singing. Therefore, I have come prepared for the audition. I am sure, I will be selected', she said confidently.

Mahak Khareja, studying in Class VI, felt that such auditions are beneficial for children like her. 'I am happy that I am performing in this audition. I have won the first round. I had sung the song from the film 'Jab We Met'. I am preparing for the second round. I am confident that I will do better', she said.

Kebin Omkar is studying in Campion School. He is waiting for his chance and will sing the song from the film 'Bhoolbhulaiya'. I am getting training in singing and dancing. When I came to know about the audition programme I rushed here. I feel happy that I got a chance to participate', he said.

Himanshi studying in Class V, said that she had won the first round and had been selected for the second round. I had sung the song 'Palki main ho ke savar chali re, main to apne sajan ke dwar chali re'. Anuj Kapur, the judge liked my singing and selected me for second round. Now I am preparing for my second round, she added.

No dearth of talent in Bhopal : Gajendra Singh

The reality shows in TV channels are the favourite of the youth and the elderly also. Now the children are also attracted towards them. Gajendra Singh, who directed the famous reality shows like 'Antakshari', 'Saregama', 'Voice of India' and now the current favourite 'Chak De Bachche', is in Bhopal in connection with the audition for reality show. Bhopal Today Team talked to him.

Q. Why did you select Bhopal for audition.

A. There is no shortage of talents in this city. Children of this city are shining in several fields. As soon as I arrived here I asked Anuj Kapur about the performance of the children. He had only good things to tell me.

Q. What is the main aim of 'Chak De Bachche?'

A. The main aim of the reality show was to bring out the talents of small towns and villages to light. So far' none of the reality shows turned towards the talent in villages. With our efforts the children of small towns and villages are getting a chance to show their talent.

Q. What is the role of SMS in reality shows?

A. SMS has a great part to play. Through the SMS the public decides who performed better. Therefore, I am in favour of the role of SMS.

Q. Your experience with working Anuj Kapur?

A. Anuj is very dear to me. He selects the talents. He can recognise the talent after hearing the first two lines of the song. It has been a very good experience working with him.

Q. Your comments on Manoj Tiwari and Rohni Chopra?

A. Children of villages and towns are participating in the reality show 'Chak De Bachche'. We have formed two teams - Metro and Dhurandhar. Metro is represented by Rohini and Manoj represents Dhurandhar team. Both are good.

Q. Your message for the children of Bhopal?

A. There is no shortage of talent in Bhopal. They should work hard in the field of dancing and singing.
