Bharti pulls out of MTN deal 

New Delhi/Mumbai May 24:
Bharti has decided to disengage from it's ongoing talks with South African telecom major MTN for a merger which would have combined the strengths of the two leading emerging market players in over 25 countries.
 
Volkswagen's 'UP!' for grabs at Rs 3 lakh 

New Delhi, May 24:
Europe's largest car maker, Volkswagen, plans to roll out its low-priced car Up! at Rs 3 lakh in India by 2010-11. It will be the cheapest car from the Volkswagen stable, which is better known for luxury cars like Audi and Phaeton.
 
Kristal plans projects worth Rs 3,000 crore 

Kochi, May 24:
Bangalore-based Kristal Infrastructure group today said it has earmarked Rs 3,000 crore for its proposed projects in southern states.
 
Sail to pay $150 per tonne for BCCL coal 

Kolkata, May 24:
Steel Authority of India has agreed to pay the revised coal price to Bharat Coking Coal for its supply of coal.
 
Gold rebound on firming global cues

Gold prices recovered to trade at Rs 12,980 per 10 gram on the bullion market here today on emergence of buying by stockists and jewellery fabricators influenced by a firm global trend where crude prices continued to rule higher.
