Kristal plans projects worth Rs 3,000 crore

Kochi, May 24: Bangalore-based Kristal Infrastructure group today said it has earmarked Rs 3,000 crore for its proposed projects in southern states.

The group will be starting projects at Mysore, Coimbatore, Yercaud, Thrissur, Munnar and Kannur, Chairman and CEO K K Namboodiri said.

It has ongoing projects worth Rs 1,200 crore in Kerala.

Last year, Kristal earned a revenue of Rs 207 crore from its India operations, and this year's target is likely to be Rs 500 crore, he said.

The group has also grown into a global company having its presence in Dubai, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia. It was also eying China to set its footprints, he said.

On its overseas operations, he said the group is now importing building materials from China and they had plans to acquire a manufacturing unit there.

The company also have plans to export designs and a consortium will be set up in Doha for the same, he said.
