Threat letter to blow up Jalgaon hospital

Bhusaval (Maharashtra), May 24: Police have beefed up security at the Jalgaon civil hospital after receiving a letter threatening to blow up the medical facility.

The four-line letter further threatens to carry out Jaipur-like blasts, police said on Saturday.

The letter has been sent by an organisation claiming to be 'Lashkar-e-Toiba' and demanding release of its activists, police said.

Though the police believe it could be a hoax letter, it is not taking any chances and therefore has put the entire north Maharashtra city on alert. The Jalgaon police had also received a hoax letter in the past sent in the name of 'SIMI'.
