Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that local jobless people would be accommodated in diamond cutting industry to be set up at Panna. He expressed these views on the occasion of formal inauguration of Repura tehsil in Panna district. He said that the ban on recruitment to government service has been lifted. The Chief Minister announced to give immediate relief from his discretionary fund to the farmers of Mohandra village and nearby areas whose Paan crops have suffered damage due to dust storm on Wednesday. Chouhan also laid foundation stone of tehsil building.
The Chief Minister announced to upgrade Government Girls Middle Schools of Shah Nagar and Raipura and Government Boys Middle Schools of Budhrod, Sarangpur, Murachh and Purena as High Schools apart from opening of primary health centres at Sinharan and Kalda. He announced to give status of Sub-tehsil to Hardua and sanctioned Rs ten lakh each for construction of mini stadiums at Shah Nagar and Raipura. Chouhan announced to sanction Rs 50 lakh for electrification of 54 tribal-predominant villages in Pawai Vidhan Sabha area and make the rest of funds available soon.
The Chief Minister announced to link Bargi canal with Patne river with a view to extending irrigation facilities. He gave the assurance to get a survey of Kohadol and Bhainsadol dams conducted for extension of irrigation facilities. The Chief Minister laid the foundation stones for Badhwarkala irrigation reservoir, Khaira reservoir scheme, Bhaktighat Adhrad stop dam-cum-causeway and Budhod stop dam-cum-causeway. The Chief Minister gave away National Savings Certificates to two girls under Ladli Laxmi Yojana, assistance to two persons under Mukhyamantri Mazdoor Suraksha Yojana, cheques of first instalment under Apna Ghar Yojana to three persons as well as cheques to the beneficiaries under various other schemes.
Congratulating villagers on the occasion of inauguration of Raipura Tahasil, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan assured them that if needed, more facilities would be provided for Raipura area and fund crunch would not be allowed to impede the works.
Those present on the occasion included Woman and Child Development and Social Justice Minister Ms Kusum Mehdele, Bundelkhand Development Authority chairman Surendra Pratap Singh, Panna-Damoh MP Chandrabhan Singh, Khajuraho MP Ramkrishna Kusmaria, local MLA Brijendra Pratap Singh, Amanganj MLA Kashi Prasad Bagri, other public representatives and villagers in large number.
