Indore Bank wins inter bank carom

Bhopal, May 19: The four-day inter bank carom meet came to an end today where Indore bank's Manoj Batham defeated Reserve Bank's Vinod Paroche 25-6, 25-24,and took the title. The prize was given by MP Tourism Development corporation president Dhruv Narayan Singh. Those present on the occasion included BS Yadav , Jayant Kothari . The role of Krishna Bank was applauded for providing opportunities to the players.

John Bosco wins Legislator Cup

In the Legislator Cup football being played at Rajendra Nagar sports ground John Bosco defeated Summer Camp Girls0-4 and won both of its matches in its pool and stood first making its place confirmed in the semi finals. Forward Pawan Rai took four goals and emerged as the top scorer.

The Summer Camp girls team lost both its matches and was out of the competition. In the evening session the Golden Wonders defeated the Students club 1-0 and registered their first win and scored 3 points.

Pawan Rai scored three goals in the 12th, 28th and 48th minute. Student club will have to work really hard to remain in the competion. The competition is being played on League cum knock out basis.

BHA elections demanded

Veteran hockey player and Secretary of Bhopal Hockey Federation Nissar Ullah Khan has demanded holding of Bhopal Hockey Association elections on time .Khan alleged that elections are due from four months but are being delayed which is a matter of concern.

He has congratulated the Indian team for good performance in the Azlan Shah tournament and said that the exit of KPS Gill has brightened its prospects..
