Scam of school construction amount

Bhopal, May 17: A case of confiscation of school construction amount under Serva Shikha Abhiyan have come into light.

Berasia police in this matter have registered cases against two teachers of primary and middle school.

According to police, at around Rs 1lakh and 85 thousand was sanctioned in April 2006 for school building construction of government middle school , Berasia. President of parents-teachers association, Karan Singh Meena withdrawing the amount used Rs 40 thousand personally and the remaining amount was used in building construction work.

The school in charge, Ramgopal Verma in this connection lodged a report against Karan Singh Meena.

Similarly, in a primary school of Ibrahimpura Jhaura, Berasia the school in charge, Kaluram Meher has registered a case against parents-teachers association president, Narbada Prasad Kushwaha.

The accused withdrew Rs 2.5 lakh from the bank and on the name of repairing of school building, gutted Rs 68 thousand out of it. In both the matters confiscation cases have been registered against the accused. No one has been arrested so far.
