Bhopal, May 14: The Madhya Pradesh BJP today alleged that the Centre was meting out step-motherly treatment to the state and the party had chalked out a strategy to start a widespread campaign against this.

Talking to reporters here after the conclusion of the two-day state BJP executive meeting, state BJP president Narendra Singh Tomar said the Centre had not given up its step-motherly treatment even after 24-hour hunger strike by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, cabinet members and state party office-bearers.

He said the campaign would also be against rising inflation in the country. A signature campaign has been launched at polling centres in the state that would continue up to June 25. A 'Nyaya Yatra' would be taken out in New Delhi if the Centre does not budge. Senior party leaders would take part in the yatra for which the date would be decided soon.

''Still, if the Centre does not budge, the party would enter the electoral battle 'Nyay Yudh' in November and gain victory,'' he said, adding that the Centre was not providing adequate foodgrain, power and drought-relief amount to the state.

He said state party office bearers would hold meetings in various districts from May 16 to May 30. The meeting would include convenor of rural and urban centre, district office bearer, MLA, MP and other office bearers.

Boothwise conventions would be organised from June 26 to July 10, while assembly segment-wise meetings would be held between July 11 to July 31. Village meetings would be held from August 10 to August 30.

Two senior ministers would reach every district from May 25 to June 15 to meet party workers and resolve problems of party workers and people. The effort would take the form of public grievance redressal programme.

A 'Mahakumbh' for party workers would be organised in the state capital on September 25 on the occasion of Pandit Deendayal birth anniversary. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan called upon party workers to get together and brace themselves for the upcoming assembly elections. He told them to make people aware about the achievements of the government and the failures of the Centre.
