It is unfair to criticise every move of Shiv Sena or Maharashtra Navnirman Sena. Rather it is in national spirit to do away with signs of slavery by rectifying distorted spellings of names of Indian cities by giving those proper names in the manner Bangladesh and China have re-spelt their capitals as Dhaka and Beijing. It was duty of every government in the Centre and in the state to rectify the distorted name of 'Bombay' with 'Mumbai' everywhere including even Bombay High Court to be named as Mumbai High Court.
It is time that Indian capital should be spelt as DEHLI as per its actual pronunciation. Already rest of three metro-cities Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai have since been renamed. Bareilly and Meerut should also be re-spelt like was done in case of Jalandher and Shimla. Even country should be known as BHARAT only abolishing British given name of India for which an unanimous resolution passed by UP assembly is already pending.
