Supply of super phosphate: Govt should frame policy

After rabi crop the farmers are busy in last plough. In the meantime to increase fertility of farms super phosphate fertilizer is required. But, it is not available in the godowns of Madhya Pradesh. The godowns of cooperative societies of the entire state have become empty in March month and since then the non-availability of super phosphate is a cause of concern. According to information, the super phospate in demand is not available even with the private sellers. It is noticeable that MRP and subsidy of the fertilizers, is decided by the government. The government did not take decision in time so super phosphate is lying in the factories of private companies. In lack of policy decision the factory owners are not providing super phosphate to the private sellers. Even it is not available with the cooperative societies. Overall the situation is that even after the availability of the fertilizer the farmers are facing its artificial shortage The government and administration should pay attention on this serious matter of the farmers. Super phosphate should reach all the farmers otherwise in shortage of it their coming crops would be affected. Specially the Union Chemical and Fertilizer Ministry should take prompt action in taking a policy decision as also its rate. The state government should also take the matter seriously in the interest of the farming community.
