Courtesy troughs built in atmosphere from Bihar to Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh received light rainfall resulting in a slight drop of temperature. Showers accompanied by thunder was expected at isolated places in all divisions in the next 24 hours.
A regional meteorological department spokesperson said Rewa division received light rainfall overnight. Other areas witnessed dry weather, Rewa, Sidhi and Khajuraho were the hottest place recording 41 degree Celsius.
A high of 37.8 C was recorded in the state capital, three notches below normal, while a low of 23.9 C was recorded. The rainfall resulted in a slight drop of temperature.
Showers accompanied by lightning was predicted in Indore, Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Gwalior, Chambal and Ujjain divisions in the next 24 hours. A regional meteorological department spokesperson said Indore, Ujjain and Chambal divisions received light rainfall overnight.
Other areas witnessed dry weather, Sidhi and Khajuraho was the hottest place recording 42 degree Celsius. Maximum temperature remained below 40 C at other places. A high of 39.2 C was recorded in the state capital, two notches below normal, and a low of 23.9 C, one mark below normal. Maximum temperature in Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur was 38 C, 39.4 C and 39.7 C respectively.
