The Madhya Pradesh Congress's much-hyped nine-day statewide sit-ins and demonstrations at block and district levels will begin today.
The dharna will be held to highlight corruption in the state government and to make people aware about it.
The dharna beginning across the State will end on May May 20.
On May 13, Pradesh Congress Committee Suresh Pachauri will sit in a dharna at the Roshanpura Square, said a party press note issued here today.
Similarly, on May 13, the party would stage a demonstration in the state capital and submit a memorandum to Governor Balram Jakhar. The Congmen will highlight the recent verdict of the Jabalpur High Court in the much-debated dumpers' purchase case which has proved that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan misused his post to oblige someone.
The Congress has demanded resignation of the Chief Minister and removal of the Minerals Minister with immediate effect in the wake of the verdict.
Besides it, Congress will corner Government over the huge electricity bills to farmers and registered cases against them and State's failure in power front.
The Congress has earlier claimed that 36,832 cases had been registered against farmers.
