All gain no loss |
| It is more than evident that Brajesh Mishra's endorsement of the Indo-US N-deal was inspired by former PM AB Vajpayee. Brajesh Mishra besides being the National Security Advisor was the closest confidante of the former Prime Minister.
Prudent as he is, he would not have come out so openly on the N-deal issue if he had not been encouraged by Vajpayee to do so. Since Vajpayee has not contradicted him, it indicates Vajpayee's support to the N-deal. As argued by several experts, the UPA should ignore Left's threats to part company and go ahead with the deal. It is all gain and no loss.
