Chief
Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed concern over
the delay in disposal of claim cases by the banks under Vivekanand
group insurance scheme. During the review meeting of this
scheme on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said that the object
of the scheme is getting sidelined due to the delay in clearance
of the claim cases. This scheme is being run for ensuring
a secure future of poor. It is feared that its delay would
result in diversion of scarce resources. In such a condition
the resentment of Chief Minister is fair. It's a matter of
concern as this year around 1634 cases have been rejected.
Thus the poor are left high and dry. Chief Minister has given
directives to review these matters in detail. In this connection
the Chief Minister also said that in spite of banks this yojna
should be examined through other ways to implement it. Practical
problems in implementing it should be solved. Chief Minister's
directive is welcome that the people who do not pay taxes
and do not come under any insurance scheme, an insurance scheme
should also be made for them. He says that such families should
be given shield of insurance to make their families secure.
For the secured future of poor and for their welfare the schemes
should be implemented and finally the district administration
should pay special attention on it. Honest efforts would be
required to take such schemes to the right persons. The Chief
Minister directed to chalk out an insurance scheme for people
who are not income tax payee and are not covered under any
insurance scheme. He also directed for implementation of the
scheme through some other agency instead of banks.
