Pak should release Sarabjit

Pakistan's former Minister for Human Rights has strongly pleaded for the release of 42 years old condemned Indian prisoner, Sarabjit Singh, now awaiting hanging in a Pak jail on the ground that the evidence against him does not bear scrutiny and is not good enough to warrant death penalty. Ansar Burney is right. Letting off Sarabjit Singh besides being a humanitarian act will yield unmatched peace dividend in mending frayed Indo-Pakistan relations. It is time the two countries sat down and took a humanitarian view on releasing all those in each other's jails for over 14 years and innocent border crossers. The people of the two countries have suffered far too long waiting for their near and dear ones in each other's jails for no bigger offence than having strayed into the neighbour's waters/courtyard.
