Agencies

Dibrugarh, May 6: Two abandoned ULFA camps have been busted by security forces inside Manabhum reserve forest in Arunachal Pradesh, officials on Tuesday said.

Acting on specific information, army troops launched a search operation inside the forest last night and came across the camps, which were used by the militants for night-halting.

The camps were large enough to accommodate five to six militants, they said, adding they were perhaps abandoned recently.

Huge quantity of medicine and injections, discharged batteries, improvised kerosene lanterns, salt, discarded clothes and disposable water bottles were recovered.
