Bhubaneswar, May 5: Raja alias Sandeep Acharya, the main suspect in the murder of marathon kid Budhia Singh's former coach Biranchi Das, was on Monday arrested in Goa, police said.

Police Commissioner Binoy Mehra said: "Raja has been arrested in Goa and we are sending a police party to bring him back to Orissa." Das was shot dead April 13 outside a judo centre in Bhubaneswar. Raja, who faces over 30 cases of extortion, murder and kidnapping, is the prime suspect in the case.

A man called Chhagla, claiming to be one of Das' killers, surrendered to the police in Bhopal April 22.
