Riyaz to play in FIFA Champions Cup

Bhopal, May 5: Vikram Awardee Basketball player, Riyazuddin who brought laurels for the country in international level would play in 19th FIFA Champions Cup Asian Basketball competition. Eight best teams would participate in it. He is going to play fifth time in the Champions cup. The national basketball teams of their countries play in Asian Champions cup. Riyaz would play in this tournament from ONGC team which had won the prestigious Federation Cup Basketball tournament.

It is 22nd international tournament of Riyaz.

It is noticeable that Riyaz is permanent member of Indian Basketball team since 2003. In the year 2007 the government of MP had awarded him with Vikram award. Riyaz started playing basketball from BHEL Sports Club and up to 4 years he was polished under the guidance of basketball coach and Vishwamitra Awardee, Mukhtiyar Singh in Indian Sports Authority training centre, Tulsi Nagar, Bhopal.

International Basketball player, Uday Yadav, Lalit Hurmade, Sanjay Shrivas, Md. Itrat Tahir, Kulwant Puri, Kewal Mishra, Khaliluddin, Palvinder Singh Sandhu, Manoj Buddhiraj, Avtar Singh and other basketball players of the capital expressed happiness.
