Are you interested in learning more about some of the main inventions that took place? Whether you are a child or an aged man, you can go inside the Science Express standing on the Platform No. 2 of Habibganj Railway Station, Bhopal. The train will wait for you till May 8 only and then move to other place. The main aim of the Science Express Train was to make aware of the developments and inventions in different fields to the students, young and the aged alike. The exhibition inside the train was organised by the Vikram Sarabhai Community Science Centre in co-ordination with the Indian Railways. The train has run about 15000-kms to visit 57 cities in the country during the last 217 days. It has 16 air conditioned coaches. Let's have a look inside the train.
Big bank: The Big Bank concept is for the purpose of having face to face experience to the children about the whole world and the space.
Nano cosmos: This concept provides the children about knowledge on physical, chemical and material science.
Building Block of life. Here the children are given information about the basic of life, how the life has started in the world.
Life & organism: In this section the model made of gene and chromosome give information about the real gene.
The brain: A model explains how the brain works and it co-ordinates with other parts of the body.
Technology of future science: Here a glass like model explains as to how the changes would affect in future.
Global challenge: A big model of earth with touch censor to know the history and background of every country. Touch the censor on a particular country. Complete profile of the country will be displayed on the screen.
The Bhopal Today Team reporter met some students who had
come to see the train to know how they like it.
Rituja Prasad Deshmukh, studying in class six, says 'The inside of this Science Express is a different world. This is a great idea to answer our doubts. I have come with my parents. I really am thankful to the organisers because I learnt a lot from the train', she said.
Aniket Shrivastava, a student of class VIII says the train has not match. 'I want to become a scientist. Items like Big Bank, Nano Technique, human Body, Organism are some of the items I liked very much', he said.
Anonya Shrivastava, studies in class six says 'It is a new experience. I will remember this for ever. I learnt several things from here. Science has progressed beyond imagination. I am inspired at the exhibition and felt that for the welfare of the humanity we have to do something new', he added.
Subesh Shrivastava, a student of class three says that he had come to see the train with his elder brother. I liked the exhibition very much, he said.
