Madhya Pradesh Governor Dr Balram Jakhar today claimed that efforts to control galloping inflation would succeed and nobody need be sad over India's prosperity and progress.
Dr Jakhar's remark was on United States President George W Bush's statement allegedly holding the Indian middle class responsible for the price rise.
''This year's foodgrain output in India is also as per expectation,'' the Governor said here while addressing a function at the local Habibganj Station to welcome the Science Express under the aegis of the National Science and Technology Council.
Ten members of Pardhi gang arrested

Ten members of Pardhi gang, active in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, have been arrested and looted material worth Rs 1.50 lakh seized from them, police said today.
''Gohalpur Station House Officer Devesh Pathak received a tip-off last night that some people were sitting under a bridge at Bypass road and planning to carry out burglary in bullion trader Abhishek Soni's house in Amkhera village,'' Superintendent of Police Makrand Deoskar told reporters at Jabalpur.
Police parties cordoned off the area and arrested the accused. On the basis of their interrogation, police seized more than 100 gm gold jewellery, 900 gm silver jewellery and more than 100 key bunches used in carrying out thefts from different places.
Jewellery was stolen by the gang from Ms Rajmati Jain's house in Adhartal area in this district on April 15.
Minors drowned
Two cousins drowned in Narmada river while taking holy bath on the occasion of Somwati Amavasya, 50 km from Narsinghpur today, police said. Mahendra Uike (10) along with Yashwant Singh (12) and his mother took bath in the river. After bath, the minors were filling water in the bottles for drinking purpose but drowned accidentally.
Nine held for flesh trade
Nine people, including four women, have been arrested during a raid on a lodge at Indore on the charge of indulging in flesh trade, police said today. Objectionable material and obscene literature were seized. Lodge owner Pawan Prajapati was among those arrested.
