Governor, CM mourn death of Pt Kishan Maharaj

Bhopal, May 5: The Governor Dr Balram Jakhar has expressed profound grief on the death of renowned Tabla exponent Pandit Kishan Maharaj. In his condolence message the Governor said that late Panditji had greatly contributed to establishing the Indian music tradition at international level.

Dr Jakhar said that the death of Pandit Kishan Maharaj is an irreparable loss to Indian music. He prayed to God for peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear the loss.

Menawhile, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has mourned the demise of renowned Tabla maestro Pandit Kishan Maharaj.

In his condolence message the Chief Minister said that Indian music stands poorer by a great musicologist and the vacuum created by his death is not possible to fill. He has made great contribution to enriching Indian music, he added.

The Chief Minister prayed for peace to the departed soul and solace to the departed family.
