Power crisis in state: Govt must take steps to solve crisis

The entire state is facing power crisis. Specially, rural areas are facing more problems. The existing undeclared power cuts have crippled the life of people all-over the state. Sarni power house units often stop production and the condition of Birsinghpur unit is also not better. Similarly, there are technical problems in Amarkantak. Condition of hydel projects is not good due to lack of water. Under the prevailing conditions, declared and undeclared power cut has increased problems for the people of the state. This has caused resentment and anger both among the farmers as well as the villagers. Similarly, the people are facing same crisis in urban areas of the state. Many reasons have been attributed to poor power scenario in the states but then no sincere steps are being taken solve the crisis. On issues like power, there ought to be no politics and sincere efforts are required to be taken by the government in this regard. The farmers have set their minds for next crop after reaping Rabi crop. At several places, there is an urgent need of electricity for sowing crop, but in villages, even the single phase power supply is not being given. Three phase power supply is only a dream for them. In such condition, the situation is becoming more adverse. There is need to think how could the requirement of electricity be fulfilled. Public requires electricity and it becomes responsibility of government. The government should understand pains of public and accordingly should do the needful to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the people.
