In view of smooth conduct of various works of the department, School Education Minister Dr Gauri Shankar Shejwar has made effective division of work with Minister of State Paras Jain. The state government has issued orders in this connection.
Dr Shejwar has entrusted independent responsibilities to Jain of various works under Directorate of Public Instructions. These tasks include transfers and postings of high school principals, lecturers and other non-gazetted officers including that of promotion, service extension and reappointment.
The Minister of State would also look after works related to the contractual school teachers. He would also dispose off confidential reports (CRs) of non-gazetted officers as well as complaints against them. These affairs would include departmental enquiry against non-gazetted officers, disciplinary action and appeals.
Minister of State Jain has also been entrusted the work of payment of non-gazetted employees' personal claims, regularization of additional service after retirement and commutation of earlier service. Disposal of cases related to effecting change in date of birth of non-gazetted employees and their cases of voluntary retirement would also be under his jurisdiction apart from sanctioning of leaves, pay fixation. He would also look after cadre allotment and transfer of employees in the wake of state's bifurcation.
The other works entrusted to Minister of State Jain include promotion of departmental posts, N.C.C., Bharat Scouts and Guides, departmental cases pending in courts and replying to starred questions in Vidhan Sabha.
School Education Minister Dr Gauri Shankar Shejwar would look after rest of works other than the above mentioned responsibilities. Departmental files, cases and files related to correspondence with government would be put up before Dr Shejwar. Some of the files would be presented before him through the Minister of State. These works include holiday calendar of schools, policy matters and relaxation in rules and directives.
