For the development of the city the work is on progress under project Uday in 20 projects. After completing the proposed work the availability of water, sewage network and sewage problems of the residents of the city would be solved.
Along with this the waste of the city would be managed in better way.
Bhopal Municipal Corporation commissioner, Nikunj Kumar Shrivastava in the presence of Mayor, Sunil Sood, gave information in a press conference about the developmental work is being done under project Uday in the city.
Mayor Sunil Soon said in press conference on Thursday that efforts are being made seriously to solve the problems of the citizens under different yojna.
The citizens would avail sufficient water in coming days and they get rid of sewage and waste related problems.
Meanwhile, commissioner, Nikunj Kumar Shrivastava giving information said that developmental work have been started under 20 packages for urban water supply and environmental reform with the help of Asian Development Bank loan of Rs179.04 crore.
Cases to be registered against illegal connection holders- Municipal Corporation administration would register cases against the people who made leakages and take illegal connection or fetch water from there.
Corporation is repairing all the pipe lines of more than 300mm diameter for better water supply system and it has appealed the citizens to co-operate.
Project Uday at a glance- design survey work had been started on July 1 and all the developmental work to be done up to March 31,2009. This yojna of Rs 179.04 crore the corporation has received Rs 117.96 crore from ADB as loan, state government's grant Rs 29.90 crore, contribution of UN Habitate is Rs 0.18 crore and the corporation would have to give Rs 31 crore as its contribution.
