ESPN Orion cricket inaugurated

Bhopal, Apr 30: ESPN Orion Cricket Tournament was inaugurated at the premises of Orion School Playground on Wednesday. Saeed Nasir Ali, Sports Officer of Bhopal School of Social Science (BSSS) and Ms Sheila Bhatnagar, Chairperson, Orion International School declared the tournament open.

The chairperson enlightened the participants with the history of ESPN Orion and its importance. She also wished the teams from the different schools Good Luck and urged them to play the game with the true sportsman spirit. This year around 40 teams from senior group and 7 teams from Junior group are participating in the tournament, which will continue for the next 25 days, giving a platform to the upcoming cricketers and help line in laying a strong foundation for their bright future in the field of cricket.

The inaugural meet ended with the vote of thanks by the sports in-charge of Orion International School and with the message of the team spirit as "May the best team win". Around 29 teams are taking part in the tournament as Sharda Vidya Mandir, Campion School, Arera Convent, St Joseph Co-Ed, Orion International School, May Flower, Doglus Higher Secondary School, Kendriya Vidyalaya Number 3, Old Campion School, DM School, Rajkamal Public School, Vidya Bharati, Jawaharlal Nehru, Mother Teresa, Brain Power, Anand Vidya Mandir, Silver Bells, St Mary's Convent, MGM Higher Secondary School, Taj Convent, World Way International, Cleste Convent, Gyan Jyoti, Gyanoday, Scholar's Home, Rajeev Gandhi, Model Higher Secondary School etc.
