Loo buffeting state

By Our Staff Reporter

Bhopal, Apr 30: With the mercury touching 45 degrees Celsius at Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior, Khajuraho, Datia and Shivpuri, the effect of the loo wind is being felt in Gwalior, Chambal, and Sagar divisions. ''Isolated drizzles were recorded in Ujjain division due to cyclonic circulation over the Arabian Sea,'' said a Regional Meteorological Centre official.

Traditional methods to beat the heat include consuming cucumber prior to venturing out in the daytime and placing a raw onion in the pocket as the vegetable has a tremendous capacity to absorb heat from the body.
