Effort to know people's pains: Rahul Gandhi's tour in villages

Congress national general secretary and MP, Rahul Gandhi has set out to know the pain of the public and to understand country's plight in villages. He has been amidst the villagers in Madhya Pradesh for last several days. He takes night halt at any poor man's residence in villages and days are spent treading the paths of villages. Rahul wants to have a closer watch of India and its public and is trying to understand. He meets poor people with sympathy and asks about the schemes implemented by the Union government. Union government has implemented several schemes for the betterment of tribal and poor. Several programme including National Employment Guarantee Scheme, Tribal Development Scheme and Sarva Shiksha Mission etc are being run by Centre so that the poor can take benefit but it is not happening so. Commitment of providing 100 days employment was fulfilled under National Employment Guarantee Scheme but proper implementation could not take place. A tribal complained to Rahul Gandhi in Khitauli of Katni district as he was not issued BPL card. Rahul came to know about local civic amenities related problems of villagers like drinking water and others. Considering his tour with a view to politics would be giving less weightage and less important. He is trying to know the pain of poor and receiving the information of present condition. Weaknesses and deformities are coming ahead. Poor people expressing their pain and what extent the government provided facilities are reaching to them, are being revealed. It is a good sign that Rahul toured the state and saw the arrangements. Facilities of government are not reaching to poor and tribals, their problems are not being solved. It becomes duty of government that it should reform the weaknesses in implementing schemes. State government should ensure to provide benefits to the people. Transparency and honesty should be adopted to implement these schemes.
