Cheer girls in cricket

It is senseless to ban presence of cheer-girls in cricket by a state (Maharashtra) where vulgarity is openly allowed in Bollywood-related programmes that too in presence of political rulers and others 'controlling' Mumbai who are incidentally extra vocal against cheer-girls. It is not understood why those opposing cheer-girls do not object to obscene swim-suit parades in Miss Beauty contests which are also staged in Mumbai and televised nationwide where complete family has to bear such vulgarity in company of ladies and children.

Cheer-girls are much better dressed than those participating in swim-suit rounds of beauty-contests or by dancers in film-award programmes. Cheer-girls give cheering entertainment in thrill-gaps after fours and sixes, and motivate cricketers on their performance. However it is a good proposition that Indian dancers may be preferred instead of spending too much for foreign dancers. Opposition to cheer-girls smells politics and new-being formed political-equations!
