Mishaps kill 4 in MP  

Shivpuri, Apr 28: Four people were killed and 19 injured in two mishaps in this district today, police said.

A jeep, carrying people to the launching ceremony of the Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana here, was rammed by a truck near this town.

Three people were killed and six hurt. The deceased were identified as Languri village Sarpanch Kishorilal Jatav, Secretary Ram Singh Kushwah and Sitaram. The injured were admitted to the district hospital.

State Water Resource Minister Anup Mishra, who holds charge of this district, announced Rs 1 lakh each as ex gratia and Rs 10,000 to each of the injured.

Dharmraj (13) was killed and 13, including women, hurt when a lorry rammed a jeep at Padora crossing on the Agra-Mumbai National Highway. The injured were admitted to the district hospital.
