Welfare scheme in Rajasthan

Ujjain, Apr 28: Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia today welcomed the Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana launched in Madhya Pradesh and said that a similar welfare scheme would be launched in the Desert State for poor families.

''The Centre's United Progressive Alliance is discriminating against Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled states. The BJP governments in Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh have done work that was not carried out in 50 earlier years,'' she claimed while launching the Yojana here.

Scindia alleged that the Centre 'reduced' the number of Below Poverty Line families in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan and therefore cut the foodgrain quota that was hiked for Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

''The price rise over the past two years was unparalleled since independence,'' she added.
