Annapurna launched at district, division headquarters

Bhopal, Apr 28 The ambitious Mukhya Mantri Annapurna Yojana to provide foodgrains at subsidised rates to poor families was launched in various districts yesterday. The Ministers, leaders and other public representatives were present at the inaugural functions.

Datia: Urban Administration and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr Narottam Mishra inaugurated the scheme by presenting 20 kg food grains as a token to the beneficiaries who had gathered to attend the function at Mandi premises. Local MLA Dr Kamlapat Arya presided over the function.

Chhindwara: Maharashtra BJP president and former minister Nitin Gadkari at a district level function organised at Polo Ground at Chhindwara, inaugurated the scheme at Chhindwara. Wheat was provided at the rate of Rs 3 per kg and rice at Rs 4.50.

Badwani: State BJP president Narendra Singh Tomar while launching Mukhya Mantri Annapurna Yojan at Mandi premises at Badwani said that this scheme would benefit 45.50 lakh BPL families in the state and 42 BPL families of Badwani district.

On this occasion Jail Minister Antar Singh Arya and state BJP secretary Babu Singh Raghuvanshi gave detailed information to people about Mukhya Mantri Mazdoor Suraksha Yojana, Mukhya Mantri Kanyadan Yojana, Ladli Laxmi Yojana, Janani Suraksha Yojana, Deendayal Upachar Yojana and other welfare schemes launched by Madhya Pradesh government.

Shajapur: Formal inauguration of Mukhya Mantri Annapurna Yojana was made at Shajapur's ITI complex by Rajay Sabha member Raghunandan Sharma. Minister of State for Tourism, Youth Welfare and Sports Tukojirao Puar presided. Addressing the programme, Sharma said that any laxity in this scheme's implementation would not be tolerated. Twenty kilogramme of food grains would be provided per month to each family holding blue ration card under this scheme.

Dhar: Dhar MP and president of national Mahila Morcha, Ms Kiran Maheshwari, while launching the scheme at Dhar, said that this is a sensitive effort by the Chief Minister for welfare of poor people. Those present on the occasion included Minister of State for Tribal Welfare, Administration and Aviation Ms Ranjana Baghel, MP Nand Kumar Singh Chouhan, local MLA Jaswant Singh Rathore, collector Rajkumar Pathak, public representatives, officers, journalists and large number of people.

Ratlam: Home and Transport Minister Himmat Kothari while launching the scheme at Ratlam at a consumers awareness camp, said that lakhs of BPL card holders would get benefit of this scheme. Kothari said that BPL cards of eligible persons have been made but if any eligible person has been left he can apply and he would be issued BPL card after inspection.

Khargone: State BJP president and former Public Relations Minister Narendra Singh Tomar launched Mukhya Mantri Annapurna Yojana at Bhagwanpura in Khargone.

Umaria: Chhattisgarh's minister Braj Mohan Agrawal inaugurated Mukhya Mantri Annapurna Yojana at Umaria. A consumer awareness camp was held for this purpose which was attended by over 15 thousand persons living below poverty line.
