Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Saturday had a narrow escape when the helicopter carrying her force landed in a field in this district after developing a technical fault mid-air.
Raje, after performing pooja at the Jyotirling at the famous Omkareshwar Temple, was returning by helicopter for a visit to Icchapur Temple in Burhanpur district when the incident took place, sources said.
The helicopter developed technical fault snag forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing on a field at Bhalbharan village, they said adding Raje did not suffer any injury.
Raje was then taken to Indore, about 70km from the village, by road accompanied by Khandwa District Magistrate J B Singh and Police Superintendent K D Parashar.
