Prime
Minister, Dr Manmohan has admitted that public is not happy
with the government's work. He said that the greatest challenge
is to maintain trust of the people in the government. Singh
told the bureaucracy that united efforts should be made to
remove the resentment of public. Prime Minister on the occasion
of 3rd Civil Service Day ceremony said that bureaucrats would
have to prove themselves that they are transparent, honest
and skilled. Prime Minister's concern over administrative
disparities is absolutely right because people face problems
at various aspects due to these disparities. Dr Singh clearly
also said that poor and depressed classes complain that government
exercises partiality with them. Businessmen complain that
the government interferes unnecessarily and works at a snail's
pace. Middle class complains that the government is corrupt
and irresponsible. If we consider these three complaints then
these seem to be interconnected with one another. It means
public of entire country is dissatisfied. Prime Minister in
this connection raised questions over the role and working
pattern of clerks. It can be said clearly that on the top
there is bureaucracy then the team of clerks and hassled public
is running from pillar to post. Discrimination, interfere,
slow down work and due to corruption and irresponsibility
is the route cause behind it. If this complaint is solved,
in no time India would take best position in the world. We
would be the strongest one. Earlier such concerns have been
expressed but special efforts were not made to win trust of
public. Bureaucrats and clerks should pay attention over the
advice of Prime Minister. Our dedication and honesty somewhere
connect us with patriotism and development. Until the work
in this direction would be done, trust of public would not
be strong and firm.
