The tiring days of sorting the details from the books and preparing notes out of them are superseded by online reading. Just a click of a mouse and Lo! Here is the information you have asked for, at least in thousand links and portals. The internet fever of metros is also catching other cities. Now for preparing notes, assignments and projects students are totally dependent on Internet.
According to them more than two third of the problems are solved with the help of internet.
Dheeraj Banshor of All Saints College says 'most of my study is assisted by net and material for assignments and projects is always picked up for the search engines.
Shilpa Naik, BBA student finds the net very useful. She says, last year while surfing the net I found some very useful answer patterns at particular links. On the basis of the same answer patterns, I tried my luck in the examinations and that very thing worked for me nicely.
With the help of 'Google' search engine I prepared a project on stem cell technology, which was praised by all and sundry, narrates Ramkishan. Other than sorting out the informative links and portals Ramkishan also hunt for latest and handy software on net. Till date he has installed two software from net of approximate value Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000.
Sonya Naik of MVM College says, 'though in the classroom teachers provide notes for sure but they suggest to read the books of specific authors also. But thing is the time factor, then time spend in reading the entire book would be more than that on finding the same on net. Also, we find the research works and books of foreign authors along with the specified Indian writers.

Shreya Gupta of Saifia College says, 'in the hi-tech era not a single student would opt to the traditional way of study. That's why there is such a craze of online reading. Either books on professional courses are very costly or not available at all, which serves as another cause towards the inclination to the net reading. In this cutthroat competition students must have extra knowledge, and to make the content more rich net is quite handy. Abrar Khan of Chit-Chat Cyber Café, New Market says that everyday around 15-20 students visit the café and download the material from different links.
