Bhopal, Apr 24: Every now and then new technology is introduced in the market. The high tech gadgets are thought to be helping hands but on the other hand they become a nightmare for some people. The mobile revolution has certainly affected the day to day life of the people. This has become a multipurpose weapon with sharp edge on both sides. Especially for girls, mobile (except camera phone) technology has been immensely helpful in certain respects.

It has been observed that girls find themselves under a sort of protection cover while having mobile with them. More than 70 per cent girls accept that they feel secure while keeping mobile with them.

Bhopal today team talked to some girls on how do they feel having mobile with them.

Namrata Gupta said ' whenever I feel alone on the street, mobile becomes my bodyguard. I used to get busy during unfavourable condition to avoid eve teasing'.

Preeti Kirdayani said that ' I usually pretend talking with a friend loudly to avoid such condition. Whenever I find myself alone on the street'.

'Nowadays camera phones are biggest problem for girls' said Soyali Dube.

Rashmi Katyar accepts that ' mobile gives me extra confidence. It becomes very hard to ignore and avoid roadside Romeo on the streets'.
