Water conservation need of the hour

Bhopal, Apr 23: In the series of Pre-Hault programmes of science express, a speech competition was organised by Science Centre Gwalior in the campus of Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Ratanpur. The students of class IX to XI participated in the programme and expressed their views and ideas on the topic 'Water Conservation'.

Dr Gery P Gill, who studied and worked with His holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogiji present on the occasion. In his address Dr Gery emphasised that water harvesting is very important and water should not be polluted by the use of chemicals. He also encouraged the students to go and advocate this policy among the society members Dr Gery also shared his unforgettable moments spent with His holiness Maharishiji.

Mandavi Tripathi (X), Pallavi Shukla (X) and Bahar Jain (IX) bagged I, II and III prize respectively. Consolation prizes were given to Rohit Prasad (XI) and Poorva Joshi (IX). The programme was so inspiring that the audience felt the importance of water harvesting with the view to generate awareness among the youngsters such programmes will continue to keep up the spirit of conservation of water.
