Rahul as PM |
| We might have been free for over 60 years but our minds are trapped in the feudal era manipulative politics. Democracy is a different kettle of fish. No one except the people have the right to choose a leader. Human Resources Minister, Arjun Singh recently started "Rahul as PM" chorus. Karunanidhi and Pranab Mukerjee were quick to join lest they should miss the bus.
Rahul Gandhi has been wise not to fall in their trap. He should continue to work hard amongst the people to win their trust and confidence. His time will come up but only after he has proved himself worthy of the responsibility.
In a democracy, Prime Ministers are not selected. They are elected by the people. Sycophants have different ideas. They want a puppet as a Prime Minister whom they can manipulate. Sonia Gandhi has sensed the plan and done well to scotch the move.
