Floating rangoli on 17 acre of lake  

Dewas, Apr 21: The mammoth manoeuvre of sprinkling flamboyant colours of rangoli on a 17 acres of a lake is in progress by a team of artists to mark the endeavour to get register Guinness Book of World Records.

Presently, this record was held by Canada where 300 artists made Rangoli on seven acre area of land last year.

The team led by artist Rajkumar Chandan said that after cleaning lake, the designing of rangoli has been started today, colours would be filled tomorrow and rangoli would be completed till tomorrow's noon.

''It will be formally inaugurated on Tuesday and will exist from April 21 to April 25,'' said Chandan, adding that the he had completed all the formalities with Guinness Book of World Records.

Chandan also drew rangolies on water earlier and created a record by penning a longest ghazal in 1998.
